Robert Anderson, MD, FACS

Dr. Robert Anderson is the Medical Director and owner of Vein Centers for Excellence of Des Moines, a dedicated vein clinic in Des Moines, IA. For many years, he has offered only the latest   state-of-the-art technology and treatments available for varicose and spider veins. He is the only free-standing, dedicated vein center in Iowa accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) since 2006.

Dr. Anderson is board certified in vascular surgery and is an expert in his field offering endovenous laser ablations, ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy and ambulatory phlebectomy. This newer treatment protocol is a radical departure from the old surgical procedure of vein stripping, which involved hospital stays, general anesthesia and days or weeks of recovery. He performs all vein treatments using only local anesthesia in his beautiful Des Moines vein center, thus providing minimal discomfort and downtime and optimal results for his patients.
